Spring Summer 2022

The Akris Spring/Summer 2022 collection is presented online and on social media in an exclusive film directed by Damien Krisl. The collection designed by Albert Kriemler evolves around the apron of today, paying homage to the founder of Akris, and Albert’s grandmother, Alice Kriemler-Schoch, who founded Akris as an atelier for aprons in 1922.

The collection was filmed on the “Roter Platz” (Red Square). The “Red Square”, as the Abbey Library, is an acclaimed architectural site of St.Gallen, the home and heart of Akris. It is the brainchild of Swiss artist, Pipilotti Rist, a pioneer in spatial video art, and architect, Carlos Martinez. For the “Red Square” they were driven by the hypothesis to treat a public area like a collective living room.
