With the Fall 2023 collection, Akris celebrates the second act of its 100 year anniversary. For this collection, Creative Director Albert Kriemler was inspired by an unexpected find in the archive, three boxes of 1970s paper patterns, that made him think of a new freedom of movement and
choice.
The Inspiration
“An era of liberation. The 1970s. I love going back to them because they were the real seeds of change!”. The 70s were about women wearing the clothes and not the other way around. These were clothes for self-expression that shaped the Akris spirit of the future. The rhythm of the streets. Real life.
