It’s always an extraordinary morning before a runway show. The high energy in the room as everyone prepares fuels the moment the entire collection comes to life before the world. Amidst the exceptionally tailored clothes, dedicated models, and talented production crew, AkrisCreative Director Albert Kriemler could be found putting finishing touches on the looks and tapping into any last-minute inspiration that might appear later in the official run of show.
As everyone worked in perfect synergy, bringing their diverse talents and experience to the table, there was a feeling of the magic in the room coming together. There’s arguably no better place to see the spirit of the Akris’ Fall/Winter 2020 collection. Inspired by the creative works of the innovative Union des Artistes Modernes (UAM), a French union of artists and architects active between the 1920s-1950s.
